To the uninitiated, this Po from Teletubbies costume is unlikely to make any sense at all! For those in the know, not only does it represent an instantly recognisable character, it’s a whole load of fun! The outfit includes a bright red polyester jumpsuit with attached gloves and foot covers, and a matching snood-style headpiece with sticky-out ears and a 3D bubble-blower-shaped aerial on the top. Inside the tummy of the jumpsuit, there’s a pouch pocket for stuffing, and on the outside, a TV screen effect is created with a stitched-on panel of shiny fabric. The jumpsuit and hood fasten at the back with Velcro, and the attached gloves are designed to slip off the hands with an opening at the wrist – especially handy when you need your fingers to grab a slice of Tubby Toast! Of course, to get fully into character, don’t forget that Po likes to ride around on her scooter, so you might need to get some practice in – or maybe just add more padding!
